In 2021, the CERN management underwent some changes, however its activities remained grouped into four sectors:

  • Accelerator and Technology (ATS)
  • Finance and Human Resources (FHR)
  • International Relations (IR)
  • Research and Computing (RC)

A new department called Accelerator Systems (SY) Department was integrated within the Accelerator and Technology Sector (ATS/ACC).

The SY department is responsible for the accelerator beam-related technical systems of: Beam Instrumentation, Beam Transfer, Electrical Power Converters, Radio Frequency, Targets, Collimators and Absorbers.
